Ikebana Representação e Comércio LTDA. also known as BCI – Brazil Commodity Initiative is a Trading Company that currently in the foreign trade market with operations concentrated in Brazil offering export services of various commodities.

BCI’s main concern is to constantly improve its services in order to better meet the needs of its Customers. To this end, BCI may collect and store certain information, including personal data from people like you. We believe that the protection of your personal data is very important in all your business processes. This Data Protection Statement is intended to help you understand how data is collected, processed, and stored to comply with BCI’s legal requirements and data protection standards. BCI.

It will be exceedingly difficult and, in most countries, even impossible, for BCI to provide you with services if you refuse to allow BCI to process your data. For this reason, by providing personal data to BCI, you agree to be legally bound, and explicitly agree to this Data Protection policy, as it may change from time to time. If you do not agree to this Data Protection Statement or cannot enter into a legally binding agreement, BCI will not be able to process your personal data.

1. Scope of this Data Protection Statement

This Data Protection Statement applies to all services offered by BCI. This Data Protection Statement does not apply to services offered by other individuals or legal entities. This Data Protection Statement does not cover the information practices of other companies and organizations that advertise BCI services.

2. Data collected and method of collection

BCI collects general and personal data concerning you from:

  1. Forms, chat, Channel questions and only when you provide your data to BCI;
  2. customers (in such cases, the customer must ensure that he has the right to disclose such data and that you are aware of the various matters detailed in this Data Protection Statement);
  3. users of BCI or customer websites; and third parties (such as the online service provider or single sign-on authority). Upon receipt of the data, an electronic profile is created in BCI’s proprietary tools for each natural or legal person (the “Contact Profile”). The Contact Profile may contain, but is not limited to:
  1. name;
  2. gender;
  3. address;
  4. phone numbers;
  5. email address;
  6. organization or company where you work and/or position;
  7. field of activity and/or interest.

3. Purpose of data collection

BCI uses the collected data to provide, maintain, protect and improve the overall quality of its services. Data collection is also intended to protect BCI and its users. BCI does not collect more data than is necessary to fulfill such purposes. In addition to creating Contact Profiles, BCI uses your data for the following purposes and for which your consent is required:

a) New products and services: In order to improve the services and based on the data provided to us, BCI may send you additional information related to your current business(s)isor future(s). An example of this may be a tax benefit that changes where your company can participate by improving the profitability of your business.

b) Promotion and marketing: BCI may use your data to personalize your experience on the BCI website by displaying advertisements and/or news that are most relevant to you by sending marketing communications that we believe may be of interest to you, including information about our services, case studies, thought leadership or whitepapers, blog updates, etc. For example, BCI uses third-party service providers to present services and offers tailored to the preferences and interests demonstrated by your online activity over time. BCI may use your data for promotion and marketing purposes for current or potential CUSTOMERS of BCI and/or third parties in the BCI industry. BCI may use the data to analyze trends in order to offer other services to its customers.

c) Technical data: BCI may, by itself, or through third parties instructed by BCI, evaluate this data solely for statistical purposes and only in an anonymous manner, in order to optimize the BCI website and increase ease of use, efficiency and security. BCI may, in particular, use technical data to measure the success of BCI’s marketing campaigns, BCI compile statistics on BCI’s website usage and response rates, and use aggregated personal data to calculate the percentage of BCI users who are within a given DDD code by telephone.

d) Other purposes: BCI may use your data as BCI believes is necessary or appropriate:

  1. in accordance with applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence;
  2. to comply with a legal process;
  3. to respond to requests from public and government authorities, including public and government authorities outside your country of residence;
  4. apply BCI’s terms and BCI conditions;
  5. to protect BCI’s operations;
  6. to protect the rights, privacy, security or property of BCI from you or others; and
  7. to enable BCI to pool available resources or limit the damages BCI may suffer. BCI will ask for your consent before using the data for purposes other than those set forth in this Statement subject to mandatory laws.

4. Storage duration

General and personal data will be retained by BCI only as reasonably necessary taking into account your need to answer questions or resolve problems, to provide better and new services, and to comply with legal requirements under applicable laws or with customer inquiries about past events or travel activities. BCI will store general and personal data for a maximum period of five years if there is no specific legal requirement. You can cancel/delete your BCI account by sending an email to contact@brazilci.com.

5. Storage location and database controller

The contact profiles that BCI maintains are stored in an internal BCI database. The purpose and content of BCI’s central database are determined by BCI.

6. Your duties

You must ensure that the data you provide to us is correct; accurate; current; true; comply with applicable laws. In particular, since BCI will primarily use email communications with you, you are required to notify us of any changes to your email address. BCI is committed to protecting children’s privacy and encourages parents and guardians to play an active role in their children’s online activities. BCI does not target the digital assets of children under the age of fourteen (14) years or collect information from children for the purpose of selling products or services.

7. Data transfer and communication

You agree and consent to BCI transferring and communicating your data as follows:

a) Transfer within the BCI group: Transfers are made by BCI to support its activities and/or services.

b) Transfer to third parties: BCI operates with certain third parties to obtain support services in connection with digital marketing and advertising and/or other BCI services to its customers, in some cases personal data may be shared with third parties in order to continue BCI’s mission and objectives. BCI may also transfer personal data to third parties at the request of its customers. For example, for data consolidation or emergency tracking services. BCI may transfer your data to third parties for promotion and marketing purposes as described in 3b above. BCI may also transfer your data to a third party in the event of any reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposal of all or any part of BCI’s business, assets or shares (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings). 8. Security and organizational measures

To ensure the security of your data on BCI’s website and systems, BCI has implemented appropriate technical, contractual, administrative, physical and organizational measures to protect personal data from loss, destruction, unauthorized, accidental or unlawful disclosure and manipulation. These measures are subject to continuous development in accordance with technological progress and are reviewed periodically to comply with all applicable privacy laws. However, we cannot and do not guarantee the security of your personal data and therefore we cannot assume any responsibility in this regard. Only BCI authorized personnel (i.e. service providers), BCI employees or customers of third-party companies with their authorized personnel (who are contractually adjusted to keep all information secure) will have access to your personal data. All BCI employees who have access to your personal data are required to adhere to personal confidentiality regulations and all third-party employees who have access to your personal data have signed non-disclosure agreements. In addition, data transfer agreements have been signed with third-party companies that have access to your personal data to ensure that this data remains secure.

9. Your rights

In accordance with applicable data protection laws and regulations, you have the right to request access, rectification of your data, or restriction of processing, and to oppose such processing, as well as the right to data portability to the extent applicable. In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Under certain conditions, you also have the right to be able to block and delete your personal data that is stored by BCI, unless BCI has to retain such data for legitimate or legal business purposes. This statement may be revised and updated by BCI from time to time to comply with statutory data protection and privacy laws. BCI will post any changes by communicating them on its website and, if the changes are significant, BCI will send a notification to the email address provided on your profile.
